Start your therapy journey today

Hi, I’m Talia.

You might be here because you’re considering therapy and wondering whether I could be the right fit for you. Finding a therapist can feel daunting. There are a lot of options, which is a good thing, but it can also feel overwhelming. Feel free to have a look around to get a sense of how I work.

What might a therapy session with me look like?

Sessions with me tend to feel conversational and collaborative. It's great when it feels like we're working together. I often see the goal of therapy as gaining clarity. It's like sorting through a messy box of things together and piecing parts together and figuring out what goes where.

Some people come with something very specific they want to talk about, while others arrive not fully knowing where to begin.

We might explore current challenges, relationships, past experiences, or patterns that keep repeating. There’s no expectation to have everything figured out before you arrive.

Working Together

Flexible Appointments

Life is busy! I don’t want therapy to become just another thing that you need to squeeze in. I offer a range of appointment times from early morning to evening. I also offer flexible booking frequencies for shift workers. Get in touch today to find out my current availability.

Collaborative Therapy

Calm and Confidential Space

I work from a calm and confidential space in a quiet area of Walmer, with convenient parking and a peaceful atmosphere to support reflection and focused therapy time.

I take a collaborative approach to therapy, meaning we work together as an active partnership. You bring your experiences and insight into your own life, and I offer reflection, curiosity, and support as we explore things side by side.

Neuroaffirming Approach

I have a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent clients, shaped by both personal and professional experience. I work in a neuroaffirming way, recognising and respecting different ways of thinking, feeling and experiencing the world rather than seeing it as something to ‘fix’.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Life is busy, and I know when I researched starting my own counselling journey, I found it hard to fit another weekly appointment in around so many other commitments. It is important to find the best appointment time that works for you. Because of this I offer a range of appointment times, including early morning and evening appointments online and in-person.

  • Getting started is simple. Reach out through the contact form to schedule a free, no-obligation call. We’ll have an initial chat to see whether I feel like the right support for you. During this call, we can talk about what you’re hoping to gain from therapy, availability and practical arrangements, and I can answer any questions you may have.

  • I understand that life can get hectic at times, and cancellations may happen. Cancellations made with more than 24 hours notice will not require payment. Sessions cancelled after this time will require full payment before the following session.

  • This is such a common worry when first coming to therapy. In fact, I remember asking myself the same thing. It’s OK if you aren’t sure where to start, or how to explain how you are feeling. Maybe you’re not quite sure what’s wrong, but you know that something doesn’t feel right. We can take each session week by week, and I have a variety of resources to help prompt reflection whenever you feel ready.

  • Sessions are £50. Payment details will be discussed when arranging your first appointment.

  • The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what has brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about what you’re hoping to gain, any questions or concerns you may have, and go at a pace that feels comfortable for you. There’s no pressure to share everything straight away. It’s also an opportunity for you to get a feel for how I work and decide whether it feels like the right fit.

Start With a Free 15-Minute Call

I offer a free 15-minute telephone call to talk about what support you’re looking for and whether I feel like the right fit for you. There’s no expectation to book, and you’re always welcome to take time to consider your next steps.
